An Identification Problem in Age-Dependent Population Diffusion

An identification problem for a class of ultraparabolic equations in age-structured population diffusion, with age-dependent diffusion coefficient, is analyzed. For such problems, existence and uniqueness results as well as continuous dependence on the data are proven. Regularity results with respect to space variables are also proven.
