| Abstract: | The main purpose of this paper is to use the methods of semi-infinite optimization in order to study best Chebyshev approximation problems with constraints. We consider problems which do not satisfy the Haar condition. Characterization theorems of best approximations and an algorithm which computes these approximations are given. |
