Mössbauer fraction for solid krypton

The Mössbauer recoilless fractions (f) for solid⁸³Kr, corresponding to 9.3 keV -ray energy, have been calculated from 0–90 K with quasi-harmonic central-force rigid-atom model and using (exp. 6) and Buckingham potential functions. The two sets of the fractions show reasonably satisfactory agreement with experimental results. Possible causes of the discrepancy between theory and experiment have been discussed.The author is thankful to his coworker Shri K. K. Sud for help in the computation.
