| Abstract: | The heating of the ionic complex CpMn(CO)2(NO)]+SnCl3-(I) in methylene chloride gives a neutral complex CpMn(CO)(NO)SnCl3 (II). The latter reacts with lithium phenylacetylenide to yield a complex CpMn(CO)(NO)Sn(C≡CPh)3 (III). According to the X-ray diffraction data, complexes II and III contain shortened Mn-Sn bonds (2.5178(5) and 2.5436(12) Å, respectively). |
