| Abstract: | The polarization of polarized lithium ions from an atomic beam source was measured by the2H(6Li,4He)4He-reaction at 600 keV lithium energy. The tensor polarization was found to be about 0.7, reaching 70% of the maximum value. The polarized atomic beam was ionized by a hot tungsten surface. Surface ionisation seems not to disturb nuclear polarization. |
