| Abstract: | Flame emission and atomic absorption procedures are described for determination of aluminum in typical sulphide and silicate minerals and in representative ores and slags. Sodium peroxide fusion was the most satisfactory of three dissolution procedures used. Optimum flame types, background correction, and the addition of sample concomitants to the comparison standards are discussed. |
