Invertebres marins du lagon neo-caledonien-V: Isolement et identification des metabolites d'une nouvelle espece de spongiaire, pseudaxinyssa cantharella

From the aqueous extracts of the New Caledonian sponge, Pseudaxinyssa cantharella, nine pyrrolic metabolites have been isolated. Four are new : dibromocantharelline 8, odiline 22 and compounds 18 and 24. The structures of 8,22 and 18 were determined from spectral data and that of 8 was confirmed by X-ray studies. A fifth, 17, had been prepared previously but is isolated for the first time from a natural source. The last four are known but are isolated for the first time from the genus Pseudaxinyssa:oroïdine 1, compounds 2 and 3, and (+)-dibromophakelline 4, the enantiomer of a known compound : its structure was confirmed by X-ray diffraction.
