On the mechanism of chlorobenzene hydrolysis over Cu promoted lanthanum phosphate

Abstract:The reaction mechanism of chlorobenzene hydrolysis to produce phenol over Cu promoted lanthanum phosphate has been studied taking into account a parallel reaction through which benzene is formed. There is a competition for the adsorption sites between the reactants and the reaction products.
