中英社会指示的比较与翻译

摘    要:社会指示是语言结构中能反映语言使用者社会面目和相对社会地位的那些词语和语法范畴,主要指人称代词和称呼,有T/V两种形式。中英文社会指示词在语用规则与意义方面存在很大的差别,反映出中英两种社会文化的不同。在翻译此类文化负载词时,译者要充分认识到这两种语言中社会指示的异同,灵活地采取直译、意译、音译、加注解释等多种策略,以达到最大值等效翻译,实现译文读者与原文作者的成功交际。

Abstract:Social deixis is the words and grammartical structures of the language which reflect the social identities of the language users and the social relationship between them.It mainly refers to the personal pronouns and the addressing terms,with two forms of T and V.In the aspects of pragmatic rules and meanings English social deictic words are greatly different from Chinese due to their different cultures.So in translating such kind of culture-loaded words,the translator should be fully aware of the similarities and differences of the two languages in the respect of the social deixis and skillfully adopt various strategies such as literal translation,liberal translation,transliteration and note-adding for the purpose of maximum equivalence of translation and fulfilment of successful communication between the readers of the translation works and the writers of the original ones.
