Pion charge-exchange scattering on 13C

We have re-examined the ${}^{13}\text{C}\text{(π}{}^{\mathrm{+}}\text{, π}{}^0\text{)}{}^{13}\text{N}$ reaction in the framework of the Glauber model in order to take excangess terms properly into account. Satisfactory agreement with the experiments can only be obtained if one introduces configuration mixing in the nuclear states.
