A model non-local field theory with some causal properties of a dual theory

We present a simple field theory which reproduces the singularity structure associated with acausality of the planar dual loop. The field theory differs fundamentally from a conventional non-local theory in that (in the tree approximation) the elementary length is independent of the order of interaction, and, on renormalisation, can become zero.
