| Abstract: | A room temperature copper-catalyzed annulative amination of ortho-alkynylphenols with electrophilic amination reagents, O-acylated hydroxylamines, proceeds efficiently to provide the corresponding 3-aminobenzofurans of biological and pharmaceutical interest. |
