Characteristic features of the NMR spectra of hydroxyindole alkaloids of the epiallo and allo series

Summary On the basis of an analysis and generalization of the characteristics of the NMR spectra of the pentacyclic hydroxyindole alkaloids of the epiallo and allo series, criteria have been found for distinguishing between the CSs and SSCCs of a number of protons which permit unambiguous stereochemical identification on such alkaloids.Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR, Tashkent.
