Abstract: | It is argued that the noncommutative geometry construction of the standard model may predict a nonlinear symmetry-breaking mechanism rather than the orthodox Higgs mechanism if there is much heavy generation in addition to the lightest generations. Such models have experimentally verifiable consequences. |
