| Abstract: | The cross-sections for the elastic scattering of electrons by hydrogen atoms in the presence of a laser field have been calculated in the Glauber and the Born approximations. The Born approximation has been found to underestimate the cross-sections and the increase of the intensity of the electromagnetic field is found to lower the cross sections. |
