Abstract:A new indirect AAS method for determining citric acid is investigated. After adding Cu_3(PO_4)_2 reagent to sample solution to react with citric acid, the unreacted reagent subsides by using centrifuge and Cu is detected in solution by AAS. Finally, the content of citric acid is calculated in samples. The results are agreed well with those obtained by volumetric analysis. The relative standard deviation is less than 3. 8%, the recoveries are between 90% and 103%.
