| Abstract: | several new profiles of Spiti shale stratigraphy located to the weet of Zhongba county. Tibet,are presented. Their stratigraphic classification and correlation are discussed with emphasis ontheir upper and lower boundaries and sedimentary environment. Geological significance of the Spitishales in the historical and paleogeographic study of Himalayan district is also mentioned. |
