Abstract: | The longitudinal viscous flow past arranged in a triangular array of cylinders is studied through boundary perturbation. The velocity distribution is found to 3rd order. Accurate analytic formula for permeability is derived for arbitrary solid fractions. A variety of cylinder shapes are considered. The results are useful in modelling convective heat transfer, porous media, and composite manufacturing. |
