| Abstract: | A novel fluoranthene based fluorescent chemosensor for the detection of picric acid (PA) at the parts per billion (ppb) level was evaluated. Static fluorescence quenching was the dominant process by intercalative π-π interaction between fluoranthene (S(1)) and nitroaromatics. |
