Abstract:	Five new monocyclofarnesol-derived sesquiterpenoids, along with the previously reported lactone aplysistatin, have been isolated from the tropical red alga $Laurencia$ cf. $palisada$ . The structures of these new compounds were defined by spectral and chemical analyses, including their partial interconversion with aplysistatin.
