An improved and clean procedure for the synthesis of one-donor poly-acceptors systems containing 2,6-dicyanoamine moiety in aqueous media catalyzed by TEBAC in the presence and absence of K2CO3

Abstract:A clean and simple synthesis of one-donor poly-acceptors systems containing 2,6-dicyanoamine moiety was accomplished via the reaction of 1-arylethylidenemalonodinitriles with arylidenemalonodinitriles in aqueous media catalyzed by TEBAC in the presence of K2CO3. The important intermediates were obtained successfully to confirm the mechanism in the absence of base under the same reaction conditions. The structures of 3m and 4b were confirmed by X-ray diffraction studies.
