Approximate description of multiple scattering in nucleus-nucleus collisions at high energies |

| Abstract: | A new expression for the nucleus-nucleus profile function, obtained by symmetrizing the rigid nucleus approximation, is presented. The equivalence of the “rigid target” and “swarm projectile” approximations is shown. |
