A thermodynamical model of conductivity dispersion in plasmas and semiconductors

Abstract:Summary In this paper, we first introduce a relation between the kinetic energy and the relaxation time, given by the Arrhenius equation, into the electrical conductivity equation of plasmas and semiconductors. Second, we investigate mathematically the change of the conductivity in the frequency and the time domains, and the nature of the distribution of relaxation times, of this new model of conductivity dispersion.
