| Abstract: | The phonon frequencies of vanadium, niobium and tantalum along the principal symmetry directions are computed using an angular force model. The calculated dispersion curves are in very good agreement with the experimental results.The author is grateful to Dr. V. Ramamurthy and Dr. S. B.
