| Abstract: | (Alkylthio)chloroacetylenes are readily hydrochlorinated with hydrogen chloride in dioxane to form a mixture of (E)- and (Z)-1-(alkylthio)-1,2-dichloroethenes, as well as 1-(alkylthio)-1,1,2-trichloroethanes. |
