Determination of aluminium in silicon by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry

Abstract:The sample is decomposed with hydrofluoric and nitric acids and the diluted solution is injected into the graphite furnace. For a 100-mg sample, the detection limit (3 σ) is 1.2 μg AI g-1. The coefficient of variation is 3–13% for 9–7000 μg Al g-1 in silicon.
