PASTOCHASTIC INSTABILITY IN HOT ELECTRON PLASMA |

| Abstract: | Secular perturbation theory is used to describe the hot electron motion in an inhomogeneous magnetic field. A group of precessional modes is investigated. A criterion for determining the stochastic instability is obtained. It is found that higher precessional frequencies have more stabilizing effects. |
