Factors determining selectivity of ethylene conversion to butadiene over aluminosilicate catalyst

A study has been made of the influence of temperature, partial pressure of C₂H₄, and contact time on the selectivity of direct conversion of ethylene to butadiene over an aluminosilicate catalyst. A critical analysis has been made of the competing directions of C₂H₄ conversion, which determine the selectivity of C₄H₆ formation under conditions of a heterogeneous-homogeneous mechanism in carrying out the process.
