Zusammenfassung Die Bestimmung von 1 bis 200g Jod in organischen Substanzen wird beschrieben. Die Substanz wird eingebettet in Polymethylmetacrylat im Sauerstoffkölbchen verbrannt und argentometrisch bestimmt. Der Endpunkt der Titration wird nach der Polarisationsspannungsmethode ermittelt. Die Aktivierung der Elektrode wird beschrieben. Die Standardabweichung hängt von der Substanz ab und beträgt nicht mehr als 0,5% abs.

The determination of iodine in microgram amounts of hardly volatile organic substances

Summary A method for determining of 1–200g iodine in organic compounds is proposed. The compound is folded in a Sandwich of polymethylmetacrylate and burned in an oxygen flask. The endpoint of the argentometric titration is found by a polarisation technique. The method of activating the silver electrode is described.The standard deviation is different for different substances. In most cases the standard deviation is not more than 0.5% abs.
