| 摘 要： | 本文结合传统的变长编码思想，讨论一种实时的小波图像压缩编码算法，经验证可广泛适用于不同特征的数字图像，并通过适当选取小波基和块内方差阀值可取得良好的压缩性能。

| Abstract: | The paper discusses a real time algorithm of image compression based on the wavelet transform combining the traditional coding with varied length.It can be verified that it is widely applicable to the digital images with the different characteristic, and can gain the good compression function through adequately selecting the wavelet function and proper valve value according to the variance in an intra block. |
