| Abstract: | Cobalt forms with Acid Monochrome Green S a complex which can be extracted quantitatively into butanol from 1.6M sodium chloride medium at pH 9.5-11.5. The molar absorptivity of the complex is 3.2 x 10(4) at 625 mmu. The method has been used to determine cobalt in gallium metal. |
