摘    要:In this paper the new notion of multivariate least-squares orthogonal polynomials from the rectangular form is introduced. Their existence and uniqueness is studied and some methods for their recursive computation are given. As an application, a new family of multivariate Pade-type approximants from the rectangular form is constructed.
