A simple technique for generating single-mode nanosecond pulses of 10.6 μm radiation

Abstract:A technique for generating short pulses of 10.6 μm radiation is presented. This technique produces pulses of 10−9−10−8 s duration of single-mode radiation with diffraction-limited divergence of the beam and good extraction efficiency of the energy stored in the cavity.
