| Abstract: | Xylose has been determined on a 2,4- dinitrophenolate electrode based on the reac-tion between 2,4-dinitrophenolate and xylose in NaOH medium. The optimum conditions ofdetermination are described.The method has been applied to determine the xylose content inhydrolysis solution of hemicellulose in waste residtie of papermaking. |
