Determination of chromium in gallium arsenide by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry

The sample is decomposed with 50% (v/v) aqua regia and the diluted solution is injected into the graphite furnace. The temperature program developed minimizes non-specific background signals, so that correction is not required. For a 100-mg sample, the 3σ detection limit is 70 ng Cr g^?1. The relative standard deviation of the overall procedure is 5–7%.
