| Abstract: | We present a construction method for quasiinterpolants using the multivariate splines of Dahmen, Micchelli, and Seidel [7]. The key instrument is the concept of polar forms. The quasiinterpolants apply to continuous functions and are shown to have optimal rates of convergence. |
