Vibrational and electronic properties of polyaza chain molecules and their metal complexes

The polyaza chain molecules exhibit a quasi planar backbone with all-trans geometry. The chelation of several metallic ions such as copper (II) and zinc (II) constrains different conformations of the chain molecules. The vibrational and electronic properties are typical of the conformation of the polyaza backbone as well as the spin spin exchange between the metallic ions through the azine bonds.
