Indole derivatives CI. Synthesis and biological activity of some tryptamines

The cyclization of hydrazones obtained by coupling of diazonium salts with ethyl-acetyl--phthalimidovalerate gives ethyl 5-substituted-3-(2-phthalimidoethyl)indole-2-carboxylates, the successive hydrolysis and decarboxylation of which make it possible to obtain 5-substituted tryptamines.
