| Abstract: | In the 25–32 eV range, parallel and perpendicular dielectric constants of SnS2 and SnSe2 are deduced from variable-incidence reflectivity measurements on cleaved faces. A new mathematical method, consistent with the Kramers-Kronig relations, is used to treat the experimental data. The anisotropy of the ?2 curves is weak for these two compounds but information about the predominant symmetry character of the observed structures can be given. |
