Re-entrant superconductivity from magnetic impurity interactions

Abstract:The scattering of electrons in the superconducting phase is calculated including the exchange of magnetic impurity pairs. Providing that the RKKY coupling favors ferromagnetic alignment of the impurity spins, the superconducting transition temperature is found to exhibit a re-entrant behavior as a function of the impurity concentration.
