| Abstract: | LetM(S) be the Banach algebra of all bounded regular Borel measures on a locally compact Hausdorff semitopological semigroupS with variation norm and convolution as multiplication. We obtain necessary and sufficient conditions forM(S)* to have a topologically left invariant mean. |
