Abstract:IR spectra of CO, NO and CH3F adsorbed on graphite-like and diamond powder films were studied at low temperatures. The graphite-like films were prepared by laser evaporation of graphite in He atmosphere. The diamond films were obtained by sedimentation of fine diamond particles from a suspension. In a11 cases physical adsorption was observed. The spectrum of adsorbed NO showed clearly the presence of dimers. For CO, the adsorption potential and the shift in frequency from the gas phase were calculated for both adsorbents, and compared with the experimental values.
