Abstract: | We show that for chiral gauge theories in (1+1) dimensions, with the gauge field coupling only to left(right)-handed fermions, the fermion loop contributions cancel in the vacuum expectation value of gauge invariant quantities, if the regularization of the theory respects the left(right)-handed coupling. |
