Abstract: | It was found that the surface energy of films of the fluoropolymer F-2M (poly(vinylidene fluoride)) is substantially increased by low-frequency glow discharge treatment. The modification effect is retained for a long time and is presumably due to the formation of oxygenated groups on the polymer surface, a fact that is corroborated by means of attenuated total reflection IR spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. |
