Abstract: | An analysis is made of the stress distribution and the deformation pattern near the apex of an incompressible rubber wedge under the tension of a concentrated force. The asymptotic method for the tip stress field is developed. The problem is treated as a plane strain case. Finally, the FEM numerical results agree with the theoretical ones. |
