| Abstract: | Summary A new and very quick algorithm for the determination of the dead time t0 in GC is described. It is based on the relationship between the carbon chain length nc and the net retention time for homologous series. The shortcoming of former algorithms is overcome: it can also be applied if some not directly consecutive members of the homologous series are used for the calculation. |
