| Abstract: | The reaction of methanol conversion on HZSM 5 zeolite modified by zinc has been studied by TPD, IR, etc. The results show that the modification of HZSM 5 zeolite by zinc through dry process weakens its Brnsted acid, and strengthens its Lewis acid which is the active center for aromatization of hydrocarbon. Meanwhile, the zinc oxide on the zeolite surface is the dehydrogenation center favorable to the aromatization and makes a few change from hydrogen transfer to dehydrogenation. So the selectivity for gasoline is increased. |
