Abstract: | The results of experiments on initiation of the high-conductivity state of a metal/polymer/metal system by varying the boundary conditions with allowance for the possible influence of diffusion of the electrode material into the polymer film are presented. It is established that forming does not occur in poly(phthalidylidenebiphenylylene) and that the transition to the high-conductivity state can occur without an external source of electric voltage.
