| Abstract: | A Darzens condensation of α-chloroacetamide with aromatic aldehydes furnished a series of 3-aryl-2,3-epoxypropionamides, which were further converted to 5-[bromo(aryl)methyl]-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-oxazolidin-2-ones. |
