| Abstract: | THIS PAPER points out that some of Thron's [5] results on the convergence of iterates of a real valued function of a real variable can be extended to general situations afforded, for instance, by metric and gauge spaces. A few examples are given at the end to illustrate the existence of the special type of operators dealt with in this paper. |
